Don't want lies? Don't like how things are? We'll win your battles and wars tell your own destiny. It is a vicious lie they tell their races, but they are the creators and the creators and victors of wars are free at will to tell the story how they want it to be. The seven in return can suck up all the source they want. The races owe the seven just for life itself. I agree completely that if it wasn't for the seven, none of those races would have life in the first place. Ok look I will agree and disagree with some of your points.įirst let's start off with the seven creating the races. To be honest, while I don't condone the future the Eternals brings, I definitely sympathise with them. The God-King (and Eternals) seek to enslave all the races, which is also an 'evil', for they could by all means live alongside them - however, let's assume you're religious, and your God or Gods (i.e your creators) came to Earth, could you really expect them to just live like all of you? He wishes to banish all Source from Rivellon and seal the Void - which not only dooms ALL of the Eternals (bar Fane) to existence in the Void (despite being the primordial beings of the world), but also essentially Lobotomises all the Sourcerors in the world also - that's a HUGE 'evil' for Lucian to do good. I feel that there are absolutely no good guys. at the same time, there wouldn't be any races without them they are their creations and thus they maintain the right to use them as they will. He acts as selfishly as the Seven do at times, for while they're "monsters" for feeding off of the races. I for one, certainly wouldn't say Lucian is the 'good' guy. Lucian fights for his people and for himself, whilst the God King fights for himself and "his" people - but mostly himself. The Eternals existed first, and thus the world is essentially theirs to rule over, and the God King recognises that, and offers the Eternals their wish as payment for their servitude to the Void, and aid in destroying the Seven. However, the races were created BY the Seven. Lucian battles to survive, and to save the races of Rivellon (or at least the Humans, since he seems rather careless about the Elves, there's clear contention between them and the Dwarves, and I get the gist that given the chance the Ancient Empire would also enslave the other races). I'll acquiesce that the God King isn't nice, and the Seven aren't nice, but neither is Lucian. But you're arguing with the standpoint that the races are something to be protected over that of the Eternals. The seven in my opinion are not to be fully trusted but they at the same time are not all bad, but in the end Lucian has the real solution and the 7 have no interest in sealing the veil because they are greedy. You have a choice to let eternal 7 rule, or Lucian rule, or you rule and the god king is the worst of the worst. Cause the god king just wants to win the war? Sure Lucian did the same thing, however, there's no clear cut answer how the god king wants to rule now is there? AND Lucian did it during the war in a time of peril. What kind of God sends an agent to influence a queen to release death fog over an entire major city dedicated to protect all races not just humans. Even still! All the more so reason to seal the veil and stop the void for good. If you pay attention to beasts campaign, even the dwarfs were on edge even though it was the influence of the god king. There is a clear divide between races, the war did not help with races attitude toward one another (elves/humans). His plan in all seriousness is ingenious and really the only thing that stands in his way, the god kings way, everyone's way is your character.
